Balancing Short-Term Pressure with Long-Term Success

What is the most important quality for long-lasting sales success? In my experience, the quality that sets apart the most successful salespeople and consultants is this : - they demonstrate a genuine willingness to help others. It sounds straightforward and obvious, doesn’t it? But don’t be fooled. What I’m talking about here is a mindset.

A mindset is a system of beliefs that defines you and your values, and which can be seen in everything you do, and heard in everything you say. It doesn’t mean just using the right words – it means believing them, and living by them. Salespeople have always been trained to use the right words. It’s part of their skill-set - their toolbox of sales techniques. But words are not enough.
